Please order your candles directly on www.candlecraftcenter.com. There you’ll find a huge variety of different sizes and shapes.
Take notice of the guidelines for the creation of image files for photo candles.
Please take also notice of graduated prices. Due to the technical efforts single items are generally more expensive than bigger batches.
If you wish to order more candles than we normally sell at once, please demand an individual offer and mention the article number as well as the wished quantity.
What is more, we offer nuptial candles, baptismal candles, anniversary candles and communion candles on which we print individually photos, names or dates.
You have two possibilities to upload your photos.
The easiest one: After having sent your order, a button will appear to upload your image file.
Just click the button and choose your image file. Ready!
The more complicated one: You can also send us your image file as an annex of an e-mail to pix@fotokerzen.de. Please add your name and the date of your order to the mail!
Our Fotokerzen-image-size-optimizer offers you a great possibility to optimize easily the size of your image! Just download it for free and install it on your computer. As usual, the program will load on the left side of you display. Open your image folder and move your chosen image to the window of the new program. That’s all! The changed image will be saved automatically in the same folder with the supplement “Fotokerze_” in its name. Your original image of course remains unchanged. This program, based TINYPIC, has been developed especially for us. It’s freeware, thus you can use it generally to minimize your images and pass it down to others!

Please pay attention to the following guidelines when you submit photos or graphics:
Image files
Please use exclusively .jpg, .gif or .cdr files. The resolution should be 250 dpi. We demand kindly to use .pdf and .cdr files only when the fonts are incorporated in the scripts! If not, your file will be presented completely alienated! If you don’t know much about those file types it will be the safest way to use .jpg files. Please do not send us any Microsoft Word files! The graphics are generally unusable.
If you are not able to create the above mentioned files just send us what you’ve got and we’ll do our best to transform it. If this doesn’t work, we will get in touch with you.
During the order process there will be an upload possibility. If the file is not readey then, you also can send it as an email attachement to pix@fotokerzen.de
An image size of 50 to 100 KB is absolutely sufficient for a normal photo candle.
For professionals: JPG compression 20, 250 DPI, an image size of about 80x80mm results already in the best printing quality.
Printing area, image size, resolution
Please find indications concerning the available printing area on www.candlecraftcenter.com. It’s incorporated in the description of the article.
Pictures
Generally, photos should be well-exposed.
The light should come from the direction of the camera; the sunlight must be behind the one who takes the picture.
Flashlight (without any reflectors) often doesn’t look well for portraits. You should prefer daylight, even though glaring sunlight might be too much.
Of course you can also take against-the-light shots if your camera has special adjustments which you can handle well.
Badly-exposed pictures won’t look well on a candle, either.
Use the available space to show your object and minimize unimportant background!
If you only want a section of a photo, a brief explaining text in your e-mail will suffice.
We will be pleased to carry it out without any extra costs.
If we do not receive any advice concerning special treatment, your file will be printed unmodified.
Texts
If you send us a complete file, please make sure that the size of the letters is adapted. Bold letters improve the readability. Small black or generally dark letters against a bright background are well legible!
Use the available space to spread the layout of your text.
Graphics
We can show everything which one can print with the CMYK system on your individual candle, including logos with or without texts. We prefer clearly the program Coral Draw for this kind of work – but of course, there is a huge variety of other good graphical software!
